1. Overview and acceptance
TruInfluence is a senior-project mobile application that helps creators and businesses discover collaboration opportunities, communicate, track collaborations, and review completed work. This website introduces the project. These terms are a draft for review and are not represented as approved, legally effective terms.
TODO — Required before publication: identify the operator, effective date, applicable agreement/acceptance mechanism, and monitored contact. Confirm that the mobile app presents the approved terms appropriately.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Provide accurate account details and keep login credentials secure. Use an account only where you have authority to act for yourself or the business represented. Do not impersonate others, share access irresponsibly, or create deceptive identities.
TODO — Owner/legal review: set minimum age, contractual capacity requirements, business authority requirements, and the process for compromised accounts. No age threshold or legal jurisdiction is assumed in this draft.
3. Creator responsibilities
Describe your niche, experience, location region, and content accurately. Connect only social accounts you are authorized to control. Do not misrepresent audience statistics, engagement, content ownership, or a platform’s connection status.
Discuss campaign deliverables, timing, compensation, usage rights, and disclosure requirements directly with the business before starting. You are responsible for your content, permissions, and applicable advertising disclosures.
4. Business responsibilities
Publish accurate business and opportunity information, including requirements and proposed compensation. You must have authority to represent the business and to offer any products, services, or compensation described.
Evaluate prospective partners and agree on deliverables, deadlines, payment, content approvals, intellectual property rights, and disclosure expectations directly with the creator. A profile, connected account, or review does not guarantee a creator’s suitability.
6. Collaboration agreements and compensation
TruInfluence facilitates introductions and collaboration management. Creators and businesses remain responsible for negotiating, documenting, and honoring their own agreements. Application acceptance and a completed status are app records; they do not establish that TruInfluence verifies performance or enforces a contract.
The inspected application does not process payments, provide escrow, guarantee payment, or resolve contractual disputes. Participants arrange compensation, taxes, reimbursements, delivery, and any refunds directly. An opportunity’s compensation field is a proposal, not a payment guarantee.
7. Messaging and acceptable conduct
Use application-linked messages for relevant, respectful communication. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, send spam, solicit unlawful conduct, share malicious links, or disclose someone else’s private information without permission.
Do not attempt to bypass access controls, obtain private OAuth credentials, misuse another user’s account, scrape restricted data, manipulate the service, or interfere with its availability. TODO — Owner review: confirm reporting, enforcement, and escalation procedures available in the deployed app.
8. Ratings and reviews
Submit honest reviews based on your own completed collaboration. Do not fabricate experiences, buy or trade ratings, retaliate, or include confidential or unlawful content. Reviews reflect participants’ opinions and are not guarantees from TruInfluence.
Visibility follows the implemented review rules, including temporary withholding from the reviewed participant until a reciprocal review is submitted. Other eligible app users may see the review during that time. Do not assume review editing, deletion, appeals, or moderation remedies are available unless explicitly provided. TODO — Owner review: define a fair review-reporting and correction process.
9. Intellectual property and submitted content
You are responsible for having the rights needed to submit profile text, messages, reviews, images, and collaboration materials. Using TruInfluence does not automatically transfer ownership of your work to another participant. Creators and businesses should agree separately on content licenses and usage rights.
TruInfluence branding and application materials remain subject to their owners’ rights. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners. TODO — Owner/legal review: verify project asset ownership and define any limited license necessary to host and display user content, infringement handling, and rights after account closure.
10. Account restrictions and termination
Do not assume that signing out deletes an account or that withdrawing provider authorization deletes app records. The repository does not provide a complete self-service account-deletion or social-disconnection workflow.
TODO — Owner/legal review: define when accounts may be restricted or terminated, notice and appeal procedures, user-requested closure, treatment of ongoing collaborations, and data retention after closure. Publish a working contact and operational process before relying on these provisions.
11. Availability, disclaimers, and limitations
This project is in active development. Features and external integrations may be interrupted or changed. TruInfluence does not promise uninterrupted availability, verify every user’s identity, ensure the accuracy of every submission, or guarantee collaboration outcomes. Participants should exercise their own judgment.
TODO — Legal review: draft any enforceable warranty disclaimers, liability limitations, dispute terms, and applicable consumer-rights exceptions for the actual operator and intended markets. This draft does not invent a liability cap, governing law, forum, arbitration requirement, or legal guarantee.
12. Changes and contact
Approved terms should carry an effective date and a process for communicating material changes. Review the terms when the product or third-party integrations change.
TODO — Required: add the real operator name, monitored support/legal contact, notice process, and effective date. No contact email, address, or jurisdiction has been invented.
5. Social account connections and third-party data
YouTube connection requires authorization through Google. Access depends on provider permissions, API availability, and the user’s authorization. Metrics may be incomplete, rounded, delayed, or unavailable and should be considered in context. Creator-facing imported YouTube analytics do not imply business access to those analytics.
TikTok integration is under development and is not currently offered. Future connections will require user authorization and approved permissions. TruInfluence is not presented as endorsed by TikTok, Google, or YouTube. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies.
